Target Audience
Developing Metacognitive Skills is a 10-hour class taught over 2 days for:
- Classroom teachers in content areas grades 4-8
- Reading teachers

Class goals
This class provides strategies and instruction that will help students improve their vocabulary and comprehension by teaching them to think about their thinking before, while, and after they read.
The curriculum builds the foundational skills for comprehension and incorporates research-based strategies that simulate what good readers do before, while, and after they read.
